About Peeps

Peeps is a community app for Gig Harbor, Washington. It exists to make it easier to meet the people who already live near you — over the things you actually like doing, not by swiping through strangers.

What Peeps is

A place to find local activities (a sunrise hike, a weekly run, a book night), join groups around shared interests, and connect with neighbors who show up for the same things you do. Everything is rooted in one place and the people in it.

What Peeps is not

It’s not a dating app. Peeps is about friendship, community, and getting out of the house — making the kind of local connections that are hard to find once you’re past school or new to town.

Why it’s built the way it is

Real communities are built on trust, so Peeps leans on verified profiles and keeps things hyperlocal. We’d rather have a smaller, realer Gig Harbor than a bigger, emptier everywhere.
